I know this is not what you want to hear but my brothers 340 drove about 30 miles slow as she goes and we had mec tell us it was a cracked head, we pulled the intake and the right side head and the head gasket was blown between 4 and 6, we could see where it blew the head seal straight across... I do hope not, but it was changed out in no time..

10 k in motor and trans 2 1/2 years ago , had a lot of bugs to work out ,then 2 back surgeries . Not a lot of miles on this motor but 1 head still cost 2 k whole motor 8k so would really settle for a junk gasket right now lol. car still runs hard , just blowing a lot of smoke so I am optamistic yet a compression test with my fingers still says it could be minor yet . I don't have a comp. tester for peanut plugs here at home YET lol
