A230 3 speed. Full synchro. Snap a picture of the front horizontally. Pretty sure it's an A230. I use one in my 360 duster. Very tough.

A230. Badassary for a three speed.

Either scrounge one up online or a swap meet or possibly get a new one. I think brewers performance would sell them. It's definitely an A230. I don't know of any that would swap. Do you have a 727 laying around?see if the yoke fits. I'm not sure how many splines are on a 727 output shaft. Or possibly a 4 speed yoke? ,someone else would know better than I. Maybe rusty knows off hand.?

I don't know everything, but I thought there were just two splinecounts.Large and small.I haven't seen one of those since the 80s, but I seem to remember it being the same as 833/727.
But at just 26 spines, it sounds more like 904

Not useful? Get out. Lol. You seem to know better than I. I have no idea how many output shaft spline sizes they made.

I don't know either, but in nearly 48 years I have only ever seen the two.I thought you was poking fun at my short post, which hurts me............. not one bit!lol

An A230 will have the small yoke like a 904. I know that the larger slip yoke that I got for my A833 did not fit my A230.

Brewers Performance sells them, I've seen some on eBay. You could always PM whitepunkonnitro here on FABO, Tony sold me a large slip yoke so it wouldn't surprise me if he's got some small slip yokes he'd sell too.

Cody, I'd like to know what the hell are you building? Looks like you got a Pinto or Mustang II 2300 or 2500 engine sitting there with something bolted on the starter side, and the stock bell housing sitting on the ground next to it. Then you got the MOPAR 3 speed there bolted up to about the most bullet proof scatter shield there is for a little four banger, and the four banger with what looks like some kind of zoomie header on it.
Curious minds want to know.

Russ.

I run demolition derby double m its a pinto 2.3 against that Chrysler 3 speed I take 2nd and 3rd gear out they are indestructible I machine the front shaft down so the pinto bearing and clutch fork fits over the Chrysler and run a 3 puck tractor clutch I was using factory Ford Bell housings on the Chrysler but I seem to keep breaking them so made one up against a Dana 60 with 3.56 and now just trying to get my last Chrysler set up for this season

Are you running a lot of compression? The reason I ask is because our Pro 4's kill the bell housings with their compression, around the starter area. The Mustang II bell houings seem to be much stronger and last much longer.

What is all that bolted to the right side of the engine?

Russ.

The plates are on the side of the block is block savers and I also use them for motor mounts are all the pieces Square Tubing or whatever from the frame so that piece of flat iron and the Mustang 2 are quite a bit stronger I agree I put this setup and an AMC Pacer that weighs about 8000 pounds and has about three thousand pounds of iron in it nothing Bends the only thing that gives is Bolt heads and the ears on the Block and the bellhousing
