Why is this car not selling???..

Seems pretty nice to me especially for the price..ebay item#121976783277
Good Question. I tried for several weeks trying to sell my car & not even an inquiry. Grant it, it was a bit expensive but far cheaper than anything similar. I guess you just need that EXACT person to show up?

Agree about duster. 7 1/4 rear, no console shift/buckets. Hodge podge of wiring on firewall.
Better off not painting engine compartment.
Worth half that price for someone with ability to work on and make repairs.

Shall we go on.....

Door cards not correct, seat pattern not correct, paint not dry in trunk when they put the mat down, horrible steering wheel cover (I bet it's not on straight, either), Look at that crap around the painted rubber hood wedge near the battery--- is that crusty rust painted over? Front bumper is crooked (in/out).

If it's not full of bondo, I agree 6K max.

ok, is anyone else here stunned that this didn't turn into a full on pissing contest between stroked and Rusty!? did it get cold down in Hell? :poke: :mob:  - I was expecting :elmer::soapbox:.
So yea, it's a nice looking car - the grill alone is worth a grand.. as noted though - the car does need some more attention - all considered, if it were mine and I was looking to sell - NO less than 8k.. and I can absolutely see someone paying that for it.. the seller is doing what we would all do - shoot for a high number and see what shakes out..

Shoot guys! It's pretty sweet if you squint at it! I got almost that much in my build and I still need to paint it and do the whole interior :)
Course every wire, nut, brake line, motor, and mechanical part is new... I'd feel a lot safer doing it myself than paying that much and having to go through the whole car and repaint...
But, like I said, she looks pretty sweet if you glance at it...

Obviously they liked it. As long as the paint dont fall off, they only paid $3500 too much.

I see it as a possible roller for my powertrain. There is nothing in the powertrain I would keep, and probably not much if anything in the suspension, steering or brakes either. Not the wheels or tires, and certainly not the crappy exhaust.
Then begins the restoration work.
So really, all I would keep is the full shell with complete interior. If I find the shell is a half-baked butchery, I'm screwed!
I bet a lot of guys are thinking the same.....

It is pretty tho

Not to knock somebody's ride. Just stating why I wouldn't pay that for it. That's a shoddy paint job. Rust bubble
Popping by the stripe. Lots of orange peel in belt line area too. Krylon spray painted grill. Wires are pretty sketchy looking. Etc.
