left home at 8:30 last night, got into tahoe around 12:30. I woke up around 7 Am, checked the fluids and loaded the car with stuff. Left Tahoe around 12:00 and got to the shop around 5:45. Pm.

made two stops, one for gas and one to JB weld a pin hole in the Rad. Temp held steady right around 180, oil psi around 65.

saw a dart, had a Plymouth vallant following me for a long time and got a big wave from a guy in a old ford coupe.

it was a long a stressful drive, watched the gauges more than the road and no cup holder or cell phone charger, to windy to light a cigar with the windows down and floor vents open but im glad she made it.

Now the transformation can begin!
 
ive had her for a long time. She was my only car for years. Been driving her Rain, Snow or shine for 8 years!

lately ive been stockpiling parts to make her my.dream car.

I got a 500 CI, Fully forged, Full roller chevy and ford eating beast thats gonna replace the orignal 318.
Kirky racing seats, full cage, 5 point harnesses, Roll control, MSD 2 step, B&M Pro ratchet shifter, Full complement of Autometer Phantom gauges, 28x15.50x16 Hoosier slicks on Weld Drag wheels, new ford 8.8 rear end, SS springs, fuel cell and more!

She gonna go from Grandma to GET SOME as fast as humanly possible!

My heart missed a beat when i saw 500 CI Chevy.......I was like Nooooooo:wtf:. Not that it is my own belief that a mopar has to have a mopar but, That being said there are some that would jump at a chance to give you grief. glad to see your plan coming together!

This, 68 Dart, was a 500 incher, that I built -- low 11s, on the street - Loads of fun

The power plant is a 1973, 440 stroked to 500..

LOL!!! Same thing happened to me when I read that!! Then I read on and was like "ah. Cool." Lol
 
There's another thread on here about naming Their car and I think you just have named yours--- GET SOME !!!

Thanks man!

The tear down started last night.

Made brackets for the kirky race seat, installed the seat and it hits the roof...

So after work I'm gonna shorten the brackets and try and get the seats and maybe the B&M PRO ratchet mocked up!

This ain't gonna be a resto, it's gonna be a dirty, nasty, rusty, full out race car for scaring women, children and pissing off local law enforcement and the D bags that that drive around my town...

Most of all its gonna be exactly the car I've always wanted..

I told my lady if she ever want to pull me away from this car she better just show up in her most sexy outfits and even then it's a crap shoot what I'd rather do...

Oh my gosh, you sound like me in both those departments.
A guy can get sex any time, but the car only gets done if you get it done.
