I'm in the middle of installing a swing bar kit in my 64 Plymouth. ( Squashed my nuts one too many times on that friggin bar!)

Started here

Some cuts..

Got the passenger side done.

Time for one of these.......then another....

Then rather than start the other side, I just started looking at my car. Appreciating the lines, the clean engine bay, just the overall nastiness of the car. Stevie Ray Vaughn blasting Texas Flood, Little Wing, then some old Albert King song in the background.

Three hours later....still just staring at the car and listening tunes.

Anyone else just step back sometimes and smell the roses?

I just love this car.... Please feel free to post pictures our your love.

Not for hours but all the time. :D
Reminds me of this.

Most days before I leave for work, I go out to the garage, take my last gulps of coffee, and look at it for five minutes or so. If I get in the middle of a long upgrade and can't drive it I might just go sit in a chair next to it and have a couple beers with it...Therapy.

No, but mine was giving me the stink eye today parked right in front of the door staring in at me while I was finishing up the heads for it's new heart.

I do because it is a sense of accomplishment in that it is the only Musclecar I really ever finished or kept. Most were built half way, or on the cheap and didn't stick around long. This one is a keeper. It also reminds me of a different time, the 1970s and 80s when these cars were the thing to have. I think the last thing I see is my own life, I was in my 20s when I bought it and in a few months will be the big Five-O..:(

Sometimes I stare at mine and remember I bought my barracuda for 1500. 16,000 into it and it's still not done. Pretty sure I have brain damage according to my coworkers in regards to my car but I love every bit of it.

yep - sure do! there's no doubt - it's a love affair! I have to admit -- typically, I do end up with a wrench in my hand after short order... if I have hours to kill, I can't just sit there...

O I hear ya been there done that. The more beer I have the more I sit & stare, the more I get inspired. Then my wallet steps in LOL

I don't stare at my cars much, but I do talk to my 04 Quadcab diesel truck like the old dude in Days of Thunder did. The weird part is, the truck understands every word I say! :realcrazy:

Most mornings, I go out to my shop and have a cup of coffee and stare at my 68 Barracuda sitting on the lift and think-------------------How in the hell does this thing suck money out of me like it does!

Funny....I think the same thing when I look at my wife.....

If I work on the Dart and ignore the Cuda she pisses on the floor or starts runnin rough. No, theres no jealousy there.

Haven't looked at my car since February. Only because it's 380 miles away in WI while I'm here in MI. No house, no garage, no car. Wish I had it here so I could work on it. It'll happen soon enough though.

I'm doing exactly that right now. Wife went to a bridal shower so I decided to swing by DQ for supper and bring it back to the shop so I could have a "date with the mistress"

And as I sit here I keep hearing some rustling in the back part of the shop (empty stalls) I shot 2 groundhogs back there last week... Better go investigate. Forgot my gun tho!! :(
