When my Dad passed some years ago it took quite a few trips and lots of time to get his house in order.....Sorry for your loss.
I found that my Dad had tons of stuff that reminded me of the time when I was growing up. I didn't want to throw away anything but, in the end, I couldn't keep everything either. I still feel bad about having to let some things go and I brought home as much as I could.
