Please tell me this isn't real - Leno Hemi Under Glass

as much as I don't care for the guy, if he can afford it, why not?

beats having it rot away in a barn somewhere

Well, at least we know Leno will probably be footin the repair bill. So it will be right.

Besides, how many incarnations has that car had anyway?

All that said, I thought I had read where Bob Riggle had died?

Bill Maverick dies ....the little red wagon guy.

shouldn't have been a rich comedian that was behind this historic "car" event. he is a comedian at the end of the day no matter how many cars he owns.

Don't mean to be mean because I am a leno fan just amazes me as to where money takes unlikely people.

Bob Riggle was driving not leno it was a ride along deal

I just hate it when an A-body gets 15 seconds of fame and it goes like this. :(

No fun unless you use a car it for what it was intended.

Damage looks comparatively minimal too - looks as if the rollcage did a good job keeping the A-pillars and roof from shifting sideways on the first roll. The physics of the roll were rather interesting - you can virtually see the car pivoting around the weight of the engine. Handled it well.

Wouldn't worry about it. It's not a sinkhole Corvette; it's fixable. It's only money and time.

I did not realize their was anti-Leno setiments in the car community. Reasons why?

I'm with ya seabee. Leno is a true car guy. Yeah, he's a comedian, that what he enjoys...and it funds his car hobby. The guy wears jeans and denim shirt everywhere, jeez

I didn't mean to sound Anti- Jay....at first I was upset thinking he wrecked it which would be inappropriate.

Accidents do happen and yes I agree Jay or as I call him lovingly "big chin" (remember the Iron Jay skit LOL) is a car guy. Anyone who can love cars of any make is a true car person and he has a lot of cars from unlikely makes. Even has a Fiat Topolino in his collection for crying out loud. A 30 HP French car and he loves it, simply because it's a car. :usflag:

Agreed. And if any more proof is needed, check out his reaction to a pair of loose wires under his '89 Shogun:

You KNOW he's not going to give up tracing those wires...just like us.

Oh Gotcha. I thought maybe there was some MOPAR-Jay grudge or something going on I didn't know about.

I love watching his Youtube garage vids. So many unique cars! The Petrolicious channel is a really good one too.

Leno is just fine in my book. He's probably one of the most real of the car guys out there with big bucks. Too bad the Barracuda took the tumble. I bet Jay was changing his shorts afterwards.

I think he participates in some way in all of the builds he does. So that makes him ok by me. Far as the car, too bad it happened, but what's original to it really? Not a lot.

I see Leno as a true car guy WITH the $$ to have a huge cool collection. I understand he does his comedy thing at the Comedy Club, which I guess is open to anyone wanting to do comedy. not sure anyone gets paid. he loves his comedy no doubt like his cars.
at the local Mopar show last year, the guy I enjoyed talking to the most was a young guy may 25, that had his 65 slant dart there, that he had done ALL the work on. it ran but in different shades of primer and paint, the original ratty interior. but, you could tell he really loves the car thing and his car!
