Boot well hardware
Pics show the OEM 'S' clip with screw broken off in it, placed between the 2 Ford shroud 'S' clips.
I'll assume these are tempered steel so altering and adding a screw hole would be grinding rather than drilling. The way I see it, we aren't on assembly line so we have time to fiddle feck about hunting a round hole. Thus the OEM slotted hole isn't req'd. I also think the continuous dimple in the middle of there clip was only screw tip clearance, so the screw doesn't open the S. Thus a screw hole larger than the screw would work too. making a hole there would be a challenge.
To prove or disprove any of the above here, Set a ladder, bring down a box containing the trim, more. I'm done,,, for now
