Whats the deal with 340s?

Your torque loses to my gear and my RPM.

Figure it out. No body, I mean nobody builds engines for RACING with stroke and torque. Asscar don't do it (they even have a MINIUM stroke length.

You are fighting physics. Stroke length has little to do with power. Cylinder heads, bore area and rod to stroke ratio age more to do with power than stroke. All the big strokes do is lower the RPM range.

That's why we have transmissions. If torque was all that, you'd have single gear drive trains. It's cheaper. But it won't work.
My torque looses to your gear?
But both engines have the same trans, converter, gear, tires, body, etc.... Identical cars.
The physics have the 340 revving up quicker & producing more HP at a higher rpm. That's it.
The 360 should produce more torque and Max HP at a lower rpm by a few hundred.

NASCAR teams have engines with varying strokes to suite the track as well as gears and n the trans and rear diff.
A one engine fits all is not the case. Also running the min. Stroke possible would be choice of the team but that dose t mean each engine is running the NASCAR min. stroke.

Your argument is flawed.

But please do ask me that one missing question of my opinion.
