holley throttle linkage
First you will need the stock 68-73 340 throttle cable bracket:

Then get the Holley throttle bracket Part number 20-7:
It attaches to the carb like this:
Then take this throttle pin/stud.
And it goes in this hole. Caution: You may have to rotate the head of the top bolt to allow the cable to go on as it is a tight fit there, but it can be done...
Then make an extension for your current kickdown lever that goes to the carb, the 340 bracket is about 1 1/2" forward of the stock 318 2 bbl location, so you will have to extend the throttle rod about 1 1/2" - 2" with threaded rod (match the stock thread - it's fine thread) and it should look like this:
Here's a close up view. I threaded the hex stock and added threaded rod. There is an aftermarket piece to do this, but I don't have the link, maybe someone can post it...
