holley throttle linkage

i know what it does. its what tells the transmission that the throttle is still open when youre accelerating, dont upshift yet. its what allows you to control the shift points of the tranny with your throttle. i was just jokingly making the point that an automatic can be controlled manually if needed and its not going to immediately kill it. calling it a kickdown lever is a habit i guess. ive seen it done and had to do it myself. its held together for 50 years im sure if i need to run it up and down my street a couple times this week while im doing some tuning it will survive haha.
