I can do it, but I have to shrink the pixels on every photo. Kind of a pain. Using the same camera as before (old site). Anyone else having the same?

The problem with uploading gigantic, huge photos (larger than 800X pixels) is that regardless of whether the site resizes them, you are still uploading "huge photos" so if a thread has a lot of photos, it really slows down loading the page

Yeah, maybe something got changed on my camera that's causing the issue. You can look at some of my recent photos (like the speedometer thread) and see the pictures are actually very small. I'll look into the camera options, perhaps something got changed.

You guys would do well to learn some basic photoshop skills regardless of software. I use GIMP most of the time, but I can only do basic stuff. cropping and resising. I ALWAYS start with a hi res photo and crop it down and re-size it. For example, if you are trying to show some detail on your engine, you obviously don't want to post a huge photo of the entire engine bay, but rather crop it down so you can still show good detail yet have a manageable sized photo.

For example, I posted to the tower project thread:

Made a life changine decision..........

So as example, here's one of those photos in full size on photobucket. The original was 5 megabytes!!

You'll have to click the link, it is too big to post!!

And here it is cropped down, and resized so the largest dimension is 800 pixels
