Just wanted to say, your car is killer.

I have a 69 Dart GT in B7 blue. When I ordered and bought wheels and tires for my car...I bought US Mags Ramblers. 15x7 front and 17x7 rear. Front tire size is 205-55-15 and the rear is 225-55-17 Yokohama S Drive tires.

Google US Mags Ramblers and see what you

Also wanted to say...if you need help with advice...this place is the best. Far too many other place and forums make you feel like an idiot. This place and the people make you feel at home and try to educate.

if you were referring to me posting that we have 408 for sale we are located in Bismarck North Dakota. a little about the engine, the rotating assembly is all forged including the crank and the engines completely balanced and blueprinted and the heads are fully ported and Polished.

There is over $10,000 in the engine and it will come complete top-to-bottom.

The only reason the engine is for sale is we are building 2 new style stroker hemi engines one to race both 1/8 and 1/4 and the other as a back up.

The price is $6500 complete and depending on location we may be able to help with delivery.

paint those wheels body color and put some red line doggies on it..
YAH I cn invision that. 1974 chreery bombs wrappn little cloud coming out the crome tips light turns red , we were12 years old in the back of a 65 383 belvedere with a pistal grip 4 speed , with Stan Fox in the passenger seat sucking down papsts blue ribbon, and my buddies dad driving big Tony sets it up about 2600 , 1 big 5k rev to clean it out GREEN GREEN GREEN . pop 2nd gear and tucks our little asses down the back seat , neck stretched to the back window, grabs 3rd still sideways 5 cars gone , lets of and coasts thru the red light and the little chicken chit yellow 67 chevelle with a black vynal top, and thetire combo your talking
looked gr8 but there were big white letter tires with a dog dish , and black steelies to got with the vynal top . the other guy stopped for the light and we never seen him again all night .
Was my first drag race ever , we were giggnlin like little school girls in the back seat , squirming our asses back up on the seat from being tucked 1/2 way down into the trunk .lol . That was it, I was HOOKED On the RUSH . got my DRAG RACING CHERRIE "POPPED" I remember that belvedere sat in the barn forever .And me and tony would fight , My dads car is faster than your dads until we had each other in head locks until we couldn't breath any more .
But that 65 Belvedere was a darker green with a painted white roof, baby moons ,. every where you looked there was MUSCLE CARS and 2000 people standing out on the wash if youlooked good enough or quick enough then they would let you go race around the Square , That was 4 roads that made a square around they state capital here in Madison and race stop lights to stop lights
about enough for 300 foot race 4 stop lights you went around 3 lanes if you lost youhad to pull back out onto the wash 1 went west 8 miles ! went east 200miles .those were the days they shut the square down 1 year before I got my license and first car a 69 camero for 500.00 and first car
in 78 it was mint green with a black vynal top and a 307 2 speed and I went out and saved 3 weeks to by some new Keystone rims and 14" irms with a 50s rear tires and 6 inch wide up front . Thanks for the thread and joe you took me back 40 years to the hay day of muscle cars and cruzing for us . thanks all HAGR812 ALLDAY . watch formy mopar hoard blowout sale to get my motor rebuilt . peace FABO FAMILY WINSTON

There isn't much available in a 5x4 pattern. I guess I'd go with a rally wheel.

To me, I'd swap to 5x4.5 pattern before deciding on wheels. Your options become unlimited.

Thanks for all the help guys and i'll post a new thread like toolmanmike said keep the help comin if ya can! Just trying to weigh out all the options and see whatll be best for my car thanks again guys

I install tires based on the traction requirements.
On the street, over 400 hp needs the biggest street tires you can find. 295/50s are barely enough. Having had several Dart/Swingers, I know they like to pendulum when you get into it. If you enjoy sliding, and freedom from penduluming you need width. Penduluming can be cool, but mostly it's just plain dangerous. For straightline traction, get the tallest that will fit.
I'm pretty sure your Dart will not accept anything larger than 275/50s for width, or 275/60s for height, at a reasonable street rideheight.Of course custom wheels will be required.
Buy the tires, stick them in there as far inboard as you dare, measure, measure, measure, and order the wheels.
A high-traffic,local, tire-shop might bring in one of each for you to fit. They did for me. If after the tires are installed, they rub on the inboard side, shims are available, to push them out a bit.
