AM/FM Radio with AUX or USB and speakers

-
I clicked that ebay link just outa curiosity. Scrolled way down to VW beetle applications before seeing one that just might work with our OEM ( 2 window ) bezels. Never know until you try.
If you dash and bezel has already been cut to more common single window or the more modern D.I.N. opening.... Good luck

I purchased the modern radio from e bay. It said the controls were adjustable, and they are to a small degree. Will it work in my Barracuda? Not without dash modification.
I should have checked further before buying.
Good luck

Honestly I'd be okay with an AM/FM/Cassette player with built in dash speaker. Still have all my old cassettes!

I still have some 8 tracks, but trying to be modern. The best part of the redio I purchased was the price and although it doesn't play cd's or anything I can plug in my phone or I pad. It is better than the original am that didn't work

You got the one I posted?

Factory radio is easy to add aux input, solder the two wires to the outer two connections of the volume control, and turn the bandswitch to a mid-point where neither AM or FM are selected.
As a bonus, you can use the same plug to RECORD from the radio, if you wish.
I did this to every Mopar factory radio to use my own audio source.

I've got some questions for the people at retrosound, I suspect they do NOT have a tuned AM preamplifier sections like factory radios. If AM radio sensitivity and selectivity is important where you live, make sure any replacement radio does have a TUNED pre-amplifier for the AM, or you will wonder why the radio seems deaf.

The problem is that I have an AM only radio. With a knob for volume, tuning, and station select. Is there a similar way to add aux input?

I would highly recommend Retro Radio Restoration (717-367-1428) You send them an old AM radio for your car and they replace the guts with new stuff - you get AM/FM stereo 4 speakers, and an RCA plug that works with most MP3, CD players, etc. Great sound and the radio appears (and is) dead stock in appearance. They sell speakers to match the output of the unit if you need them. Have one in both my Dart show cars. These folks are a family operation and are always at Chryslers at Carlisle.
