I still dont think the fuel pump is long for the world and it was only 20 bucks . so im going to go head and change it . I just cant beleave it was that simple its never that EZ for me lmao
It's usually the simplest stuff for me.... AFTER I throw 300 bucks worth of part at it...

Very nice shots...it's always a good birthday when you can just drive your own Mopar anywhere you want. I used to do the same thing with mine, drive around and take pics. The styling of the '65 looks great from any angle, even 50+ years later they still look fresh and graceful.

I sure do enjoy watching this cool car and thread, keep enjoying your fun ride Asa
Happy belated Birthday dude

I been lurking on your thread. Nice cuda with all the patina and all, are you concidering eventually DA sanding and priming the outside, or are you gonna leave it as is?

you should have seen 1 we 65 barracuda me and my buddies put back togrther in like 1985 , it was so rotted outside we used LoL true strory .= cardboard from budwiser case box 5 gallons long and strong tiger hair ,fiberglass , then another 5 gallons mud to smooth down. It was probably 2500 lbs when I bought it for $200.00 butithad a gr8 running 273 904 drinetrain interior good enough to drive , few ripps , outside salt cancer and gr8 stainless trim with 1 good trim ring for head light . oem 13" rims with oem hub caps .1banged hard againgsst curb I would assume ? So we took 3 weeks of nights , molding this 100 lbs of mud and glass on it , and low behold it turnedout straight as an arrow wich blew our mind , but puuddie Bill could lay some MUD .lol , all gray primered and straight , we never thought we would see , so we didn't have a color piced out yet to squirt it .
We were in our 26ish years Bill was into sycodelics ,we go to a local tavern to do some thinking and drinking , a mentalhealth night from smelling to much chemicals and primer fumes. So after 3 very strong Swamp Warers , they were called They had 5 shots of different vodka"s and other intoxicants , we saw this LITTLE Vitamin C orange sticker ona beer keg , WE SAID THATS IT Mopar Vitamin C orange with 2 Black sripes LOL.
So the next morning with a poundinglike no tommoro hang over, We go pick up everything it will take to paint it just that color.
so we tack ragged irt all down hit it will the pre paint .solvent while he mixed the black, and he began to spray the trunk , roof , and hood , high gloss black . we we outside to have a beer and other adjustments while it was drying . We came back in 45 minutes later and 1 bee got on the hood , right in the middle of where the stripe would be and crawled about 3 inches , So I reached out to pick this bee up , my wind breaker opened away from my body and foked that hood side up worse than scraping the be off . lmao now .Then , not so funny . So next night we came back and had to resand and repaint that side of the Hood and tape the rest off for our orange . We go it nice and straight and could see it now . go home no bars or alchohal , So next night we came , finished taping my fok up , talkeditandhe gotthe Vitamin c orange ready to spray and stay away!!
It looked beutifull , we couldhardly wait until the next night . He laid down an awesome paint job . So we unrapped and poof there it was . We stood back with our jaws dropping . I found some baby moons during this 3 week period , and got luck they worked on 13 "" rims andlooked perfect for baby moons , then was like trying to find hens teeth , I traded something for them but cant remember , think 2 keystone center capps . We pulled it out , cleaned the shop we borrowed , and headed home witch was 15 to 20 miles threw MADISON WISC. We gotpulled over 2 times that night , because it lookedlikeit went 150 standing still . well I owned and drove every day for a year and a half got 4 tickets because you could see that car coming 3 miles away with that vitamin C paint on itwith 2 race stripes lol . finally traded it for a OLDS 350 Rocket 70or 71 cutlass . Now that 1 screamed but it was green with a white vinal roof .the copps here were reallybad and I had a bigger than red flag VITAMIN C 65 Barracuda during the 1982 and 3 era when they got to be real pricks. Well to wrap up the story I woulda had the patina BARRACUDA and fly under the radar and being a 64-66 its rare enough to where you will still be the talk of the town, taking people back 40to 50 years , and still get pulledover by people and not copps just to the old days , riding under that big back window Just 1500 grit sand it and clear it . Dude its golden believe me . I do have 2 blinkers for the front . And you got 1 sweet ride . Spend it on the drive train , your readyfor any show the only 64-66 barracuda there . if there is 2 get me there # I will try to buy ormake atrade for it , and people are starting to realize it , they all grew up with a earley gen 1 barracuda story of there own , weather it was family or a neighbor . 1st gens rock
you will not regret the patina . sand lightly ,clear ,and put therest in the drive train or contact me for a trade or something.
THE RAT A CUDA ROCKS LIVE IT LARGE !! HAGR812 WINSTININWISC = 64/65 Barracuda Freak and parts chaser . dam wish iknew howto down loadpics when ifind them , the were in color then LOL "Don't take my chroda chrome away" !!

I only have 20 bucks a month to spend on her. So not at this point. I have to keep throwing little parts at it . If some one wants to pay for the paint and priming I would be happy to shoot her .

To late, I'm used to it now.
LMAO

Either way, it still looks great as is.
Thanks buddy
