I've owed this car since 1989. I'm the third owner and the car is a Washington state car. never titled out of the state. car has 83000 plus miles. The car was painted by the previous owner a Chrysler green. The cars ordinal color is burnt orange and the car has brown interior and a white top. The car is a 340 automatic. The production numbers for the formula S conv is 83 produce in 69. This car had to be special ordered. Not sure what the break down is of the 4spd/ automatic. I purchase the car in 89 and it was put in a garage in 92. I did not drive it much after I purchased it due to having other mopars. the car ran fine when it was put in storage. Car has not been started since 94... contact me thru a message here. Car is in Washington state.

Dave

Reason for selling . ive owned the car for many years and just haven't got it on the road so selling it to someone who will get it back on the road and enjoy it.

Thanks for the pics. I know there has been some discussion on here whether a 69 Formula S had "340-S"
Badged on it or not. I figured they did.
If you get ambitious I could use the measurements on the 340-S emblem. (How far from barracuda script)

Thanks again

Note V78 on the Fender Tag! This is why it has the 340s badges.

To the OP, Nice car and first look deserves the price!

I have a b5 69 340 convert with white interior and stripe, no 340s on fenders with 340 stripe.

Love the tan interior !
Very Nice car,
good luck with the sale

I just sold an original 69 Formula S and no 340-S badging on it. Whats with the V78? What is that option to get the badges?

V6 cars had engine call outs in the stripe. V7 cars were accent or stripe delete so they got the badges in 69. Also 340 non "S" spring special cars got them.

Ma Mopar threw some curves but this is the basic rule to follow.

It was a given!

V6 sports stripes had the engine call out for 340/383 on "S" cars. V7 accent or delete did not. Accent were painted stripes but still got the badging. Non "S" V6 stripes were solid with no engine call out. 'Cudas were different all together!
