Wheel bearing bad off the shelf?

I sell bearings everyday, wheel bearings included. The chance of having a bad wheel bearing is extremely low (depending on the quality, we sell Timken primarily for wheel bearings, the chance is next to zero). The chance of having two bad ones? Even if they are a chinese offshore? Next to zero. In fact not one of my wheel bearings has ever come back for any reason other than customer installed improperly. Something else is amiss, incorrect installation, or its some other part of the steering/hub assembly. I would start looking around it if you can. When you had it all apart did you notice any other oddly worn parts? Any odd wear pattern on the tires?
