  • anyone recommend a good motel on the south side? Will be coming up I-81 from Alabama. Plan to spend Thur and Fri night so can go to show Fri and Sat the head back south. Will be 850 plus miles one way so I will drive the "decoy" which is the one on left in my avatar.
check out the super 8 motel in carlisle. make sure ya stop and say hi when you are at the show. you cant miss my car. its a 74 dart swinger sassy grass green with " buzzin half dozen " on the rear quarters

I am thinking maybe Shippensburg or somewhere 50 mi or so away. First time to go to that area so need some help so I won't book in a bad area
I will be in the red 67 GT with cragars. I always wanted to go and my brother who is 72 hrs old has alheimers how ever you spell it will be riding with me. We always go to cruizin the coast together so I don't know how much longer we can do stuff together
Would be Great to meet you both.. Make sure you come by to my spot at P205-P206 !!

It would be great to have (you) new people come to the greatest show ever (IMO) car show, swap meet vendors, new part's vendors, eateries, just about anything you can think of. You and your brother are very welcome to stop by our swap spaces, O123-127 anytime, will have our small canopy up, chairs to sit in, and take it easy for awhile........... Will have ice cold water, soda, etc. Look forward to seeing everyone.

JUST A QUICK NOTE: I'M THINKING THAT IF YOUR CAR IS REGISTERED OR YOU ARE JUST WALKING IN THROUGH A GATE, I DO BELIEVE YOU PAY AN EARLY BIRD FEE AT GATE ON THURSDAY, AND YOU CAN COME IN THE FAIRGROUNDS AND LOOK AROUND AT THE SWAP MEET AREA, THAT I KNOW OF. I WILL CHECK WITH MAIN OFFICE AT CARLISLE, AND POST UP WITH WHAT IS RIGHT OR WRONG. DODGE33

I agree, we camp onsite. If there are any booths available it may be the way to go and just camp at the fairground. You have a camp spot and place to keep your parts w/o having to run to the car/truck all the time. But... we do sell also

Hello everyone that is going, or maybe going to the Carlisle show.... my brother called the front office today, and they said that the early bird entrance to the swap meet can be had at Gates 1 & 3 on Thursday morning to get to the swap meet area. I forgot to ask how much to enter the fairground's though. There should be several vendor's in there by Thurs. Hope everyone can make it to the show!

Carlisle Chrysler Nationals - Collector Car Show and Swap Meet, Everything Mopar, Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth, AMC, Jeep, and RAM

I will be staying at Comfort Inn in Chambersburg and already preregistered so everything should be taken care of. I plan on staying Thurs night and Fri night. Get there early Fri and also Sat then head back out of town for the night.

I agree. A lot of people (tourist) come to this area. The Chrysler show is not the only thing going on.....
I'll be going up on Friday making the pilgrimage in the "Ruster". Swapping my stock 904 for a rebuilt with shift kit and 2,000 stall converter this week! I may hold off on my 3.90 swap until later. Long drive from NOVA with 3.90's and no OD. Bout two hours straight up i81 for me. Hoping to attend drags on Friday evening ad well.

I am getting ready for the 850 mi drive myself. Hope it is good as I have always heard it was and the weather is nice, Joe

I pre-registered months ago. I'll be driving up in my 68 Dart. This will be my first time at Carlisle. Did anyone get their window stickers and info from Carlisle yet?

Hello Joe, No doubt that is a cruise for sure, but I hope it's a great one for you. We are heading that way, and from our place, it's 600 mile drive with the 24 ft enclosed trailer, so even a jaunt for us too. Carlisle is like a magnet.... after your first time, will go back every year, that's the way it's been for us. I'll say this.... it is great times, great people, and so much more!! You have a great and safe trip! Dodge33

thanks, I don't usually do the local shows. I always go to Cruisin the Coast for the week and always wanted to go to Carlisle and to drive one of my cars so this is the year. I have been preregistered but all I have got is an email confirming it. Hope to see lots of FABO members there

Hey Guy's, If you guy's have not gotten your credential's for your show car's yet.... I would be making a serious phone call, to the Carlisle Productions Office, and asking a few question's!! Just as MoparMitch reported already.... we received our vendor credential's last week! Good Luck, Dodge33

I just called. The window stickers were just mailed out on Friday. I should get mine today or tomorrow.

Got window sticker in mail today. #1021 R100 showfield

I haven't been to Carlisle sine '91. Then when PA instituted sales tax rules on used parts vendors I decided to never go back. Doesn't that annoy the hell out of you guys?

I've never been to Carlyle, so am asking for information. I need a few parts for my 65 barracuda. I know there are tons of stuff there. Would it be worth the trip from Carolina? The swap meet's I have been to locally never have much for the early a-bodies.

Ten minute drive for me, mostly downhill so I will be there.

I am not vending this time but as far as the PA taxes go, it is a small price to pay for the volume of sales & endless stream of potential buyers.
