For sale 1975 big block 727 transmission.
This is a good working trans with 34,457 original miles on it removed from a motorhome. I drove it on several trips without problems before pulling.
Not the funky short tail with the emergency brake drum. It uses the standard slip in driveshaft.
It comes complete with the factory cast crank weighted torque converter, lower gravel shield, flex plate+mounting bolts & the starter plate as shown in pictures. Dipstick and tube is there but finger pull is broke above the tube seal on the dipstick. Sorry snagged it while taking it out.
Will need some fluid added as some leaked out the tail while pulling engine and trans. Fluid wasn't dark or burnt.
It has never been apart as far as I know.
Selling this as local pick up and will grab an end & help you load.
250.00, best offer or trade?

Picture of snapped off dipstick handle.
If you noticed the hole drilled in the bell. It was how they came to shoot your timing light through with the engine cover removed. The ground line is TDC. Degrees marked on converter. Motorhomes & cabover trucks only thing I believe.

This is an as built from the factory transmission from 1975. Dodge truck/chassis model as used under motorhomes.
My best guess would be it is not.
I don't really know what a lock up is or if they were even available back in 75?
I don't believe I remember hearing the term lock up till later.
Sorry to sound so ridiculously stupid on the subject
but you got a 30+ year 4-speed only guy here.
This is the only automatic transmission I have and don't know much other than what I posted above about it.
If someone who knows more and can help out with a definite answer please feel free to chime in.
