1969 Barracuda Dome Light Question

Good reason to put all new wiring in!

I hate issues and chance of an electrical fire! Hench it was all replaced among other items!
 
I stand corrected. At least M&H has the small stub harness available for the RH dome light courtesy of you 1969383S.

Thats whats great about being on the FABO forums. Lots of good people, lots of information.

If you search the web and their site, you will see all Mopar harnesess are only available through Year One! But if you look at the limited list of available harness assemblies for our cars there are lots of missing pieces! Call them for the odd balls they are great folks to deal with, at least that was my experience! Some times you just have to make a phone call, nothing to loose right?

Absolutely not. Knowing this i'd make the phone call too.

Yea good suggestion. If Cawley doesnt have one I'll see if I can get one off them. Thanks for the tip.
 
The new part number M&H gave the pass side harness is (41449).
 
By the way if your car has the A01 option then there is a very short jumper harness that goes between the connector you originally showed and the passenger side harness. The jumper feeds power to the trunk lamp! As I show my car regularly I have a plastic blocker for the trunk light switch as the trunk is usually open at the shows. No need to drain the battery!

My car does not have the light package. What bulb are you using and where did you get it from? The ones I ordered from year one in the interior bulb kit they gave me are standard bulbs and don't fit.
 
1969383S, i tried to help 69 barracuda with his dome light bulbs. I checked rockauto for a part number. The only bulb they showed for a 69 barracuda was for a notchback with conventional dome light. I know the fastback dome lamp bulbs are like a tube looking light bulb. I looked up a GE 2112 bulb for a mid 80s dodge daytona. I know it will fit the socket, but may be too hot. What pn# bulbs are supposed to be in there?

Only non factory bulbs I use. One sided LED from WalMart, they run much cooler!!!!
 
I did not keep the package for future reference but here is what they look like.

Always use the gasket on the lens as well. Keeps them from sliding and shorting out the pink. Heat is what kills the socket! The LED runs nice and cool.
 
I bet your car looks really nice with the blue interior, and blue exterior. Any pix to share?

Leds are a plus, besides the heat factor they last damn near forever. Probably never replace them in your lifetime. I plan on running sealed beam headlights only because i like the look, otherwise upgrade to H4s. I am planning on running leds for everything else.

I have one but the plastic is broke on one end. Not sure if it can be still used. Other than that it is in really good shape. If you want it you can have, just pay for shipping.

I'll let you know what I am doing, I'm contacting M&H to see how much a new one is, since I would have to order a new plastic from them anyways, I'll let you know. Thanks a lot.
