1969 Barracuda Carb Suggestion Needed

-
I think if you get it so it's running pretty good, you'll know more. Once you drive it, you'll know if it's what you want or not. Can't tell off of "paper", so to speak. You may take it down the road and say "am I stuck in second gear??? Why is it winding so bad?" .... then you'll know the 4.10's aren't for you. Or, you may do nothing else but shift gears and kick rears and say "i'm not changing a thang"..... LOL
Alright sounds good lol. I'll get her running then. Thanks

IF you can not tune in that TQ, and you change to the Holley, an intake that would be the best (IMO) to use would be the RPM Air Gap. Next would be the Weiand Action Plus/Stealth. You'll pick up a better signal to the carb and gain added low end torque without missing any top end HP vs. the single plane and the Holley.

Okay I'll check it out. Thanks.

Uncap the bowl vent. Passenger side
Leave the small cap on the small port in the bowl. That is an EGR valve port.
On the base plate, the far left is the purge, leave capped
In the middle is the PVC port. Connect to PVC valve on the valve cover if you wish.
Far right is the vacuum advance port. Connect that to the vacuum advance on the distributor.

On the rear of the carb, there is on the passenger side a vacuum port for the dash pot. Connect it.
On the drivers side on the rear of the carb could be another vacuum port. This port may be capped.'it was used for a verity of things. 1 was to an air cleaners trap door.
Okay working on this right now. Couldn't I just use the vacuum port on the back of the carb (drivers side) to run the vacuum to the distributor or is there a difference between the one on the front and the one on the back?

There is a difference. One is timed "ported" so that it only draws at part throttle. That one is on the front and is usually preferred for Mopars.

Correct! The one on the rear is a full time vacuum port. (Or there is always vacuum there.)
The on on the drivers side, front of the carb is a "timed" port which can be take. As part time. LOL
That is the one for the distributor.
This is for the Carter & Edelbrock copy carbs.
Your Mopar wants the timed vacuum port.

Okay sounds good. I got a 2 foot tube and hooked it up, and I removed the other caps you told me to. I'll take a pic when I get home and post it to see if I did everything right. Lol

The center one is a PVC valve port. That's the thing on the valve cover.
And yes the one that sticks out to the rear on the passenger side of the carb is the bowl vent that can be uncapped.

Alright. Thanks a lot for mentioning everything, especially the lack of vacuum.
