Well fellas as some of you know ive been working with Gary Seaward & Lee @ McLeod clutch to put together a "end all" clutch for us guy's & gal's who dont wanna change ove r to the 10.5 set up/fab parts to work. McLeod has done it! Im working with them to get this ava in the catalog to! I used all stock early a parts too! Only part I changed was the clutch rod from z-bar to release fork. It needed to be about an inch longer than the stock one. The clutch is a twin 10 inch with a diagram style p.p. It had to be becouse the single disc setup was way to short to work correctly with stock clutch linkage. But the twin is within 1/4 inch hight of the stock bork/ beck & fits perfect! Its also rated for 600 hp! Peadle effort is great a little chattery at first but still bedding in @ this point in time so can't complain yet. So any qustions or pics just let me know so far im VERY pleased with it & no signs of anu slip!!!!! All said & done was around $700 but thats still a truck load cheaper that a 10.5 retro fit!

Fat thumbs=bad spelling! Sorry.

Thats awesome! great work i love it when there is something developed, bettered or just available for our early A's!

I oew a portion of it to fs66 too. He pointed me in there direction & has one there custom twin 10's but on there flywheel. I sent them my stock 122 tooth flywheel & gary built a clutch off of it. Its studded now instead of bolts thats the only change to flywheel!

I told them I was going to get this out to as many early a guy's as possible & told them there is a market for it! Gary is going to see if it can be made a part numer or at least note every component they used for my clutch for any other's wanting to keep stock 9.5 stuff & have it hold some power @ the same time!

Had the same issues running the Mcloud. I had issues with the throw out bearing/ Forks hitting the disk when the clutch was depressed. Had to re-engineer the torque arm and shim the pressure plate

It has zero issues. Only thing it needed was a inch longer clutch rod. Has about 1/8 inch free play & fully released with pedal on floor with .025-.030 clearance between disc & floater plate & pressure plate.

very cool , already have a 10'' clutch in mine , but it wouldn't hold up 600 hp . can you spec me up on there parts list to put this package together ? and did you think of going juice on the release linkage ?

The hydraulic set up I looked at to but was bound and determined to get a clutch that was drop in as possible & work! ive two receipts ill look at to see if the part numbers are on them. Otherwise ask for Gary Seaword @ McLeod. I hope they put a part number on the whole package I told him it will sell!

I should note that I Still have a slant 6 pressure plate we modified with upgraded fingers and springs. Going to hold on to it in case I get another 4 speed hipo car.

thanks that would be helpful , i'll can call mcleod if need . funny thing i ordered a 130t 8 bolt steel flywheel sometime back from my chrysler dealer and it was a mcleod boxed flywheel inside the mopar box . my parts guy i've known since 72 , we laugh are as....es off when we opened the box there at his desk in the parts room . so no problem with mcleod parts
