I hate to even think of it, but '65 Signet value?
I've muddled over this AT LEAST a hundred times, but I think in the long run it's probably the end result. The type of car I'm wanting will cost much more than a later A-body in terms of available aftermarket parts.
I'm seriously considering selling My '65 Signet to give partial funds towards another car. Here's the list of parts I have and what kind of work needs done to it so I can hopefully get a good gauge on what it's all worth.
Parts-
I have all of the original parts for the car like the motor trans. Additional parts include a 318 that was rebuilt back in the 1998 time frame, maybe 10k miles on it. Edlebrock performer aluminum intake with Carter AFB 650 carb.
I also have a 4-speed from a 1964 Barracuda with the only missing parts being the pedal assy and the ball stud that mount to the car.
i have a front valance from the same cuda in good shape, needs some straightening, but no rust or patch work is needed.
I also have 4 Tail light bezels, none are in great shape, all are straight but chrome is pitted and peeling. also have a set of the three piece that goes below the rear window of the 64 cudas. Probably the same for 64-66.
what the car needs-
It currently is just a roller, so engine needs re-installed and trans needs rebuilt.
body wise it's pretty straight with exception of needing rear lower 1/4's both sides along with upper wheel well patch work. the drivers side fender is not the factory fender that came on the car, but is the correct replacement and needs light patch work on the lower piece behind the wheel.
both of the frame rails under the front floor boards needs work done to them. They aren't completely rotted out, but the inner corners of them are rust pitted and pretty thin looking. It's NOT the ENTIRE front frame rails, just from under the firewall to about 1.5-2' in front of the torsion bar brace. T-bar brace on driver side has some minor flaking which cleaned up a good bit with some light sanding.
It's has the LBP disk brake swap and likely needs a brake job on all 4 corners.
Interior is only missing the correct arm rests, other than that, all there. Carpet needs replaced, but is still there.
So what kind of value would you all give something like this with all the parts along with it?
