Hello!

I am new to old Mopars - I was given a '73 Dodge Dart (2-door, front-disk option) from my older brother. Runs and drives like a champ with the old slant six! I'm pretty versed in newer Mopars, having owned a 2012 300 SRT8, 2008 Jeep GC SRT8 and currently own a 2015 Jeep SRT. I also have a 2004 Ford SVT Lightning pickup.

My goals for Dart will be to eventually convert it to a V8, but perhaps in the short-term making the 198cid a bit peppier and get it looking good - the body is 100% straight but needs paint. It looks easy as hell to lower (torsion front end, leaf spring rear) but the other problem I am having is finding nice rims to bolt on it. The bolt pattern is easy (5x114.3 aka 5x4.5), but clearing the hubs seems to be the harder thing to do when finding rims. I prefer not to put on some Cragar's, would like a larger (17"+) rim with some offset/backspacing to fill in the fender well gap. I actually have a set of 17" rims from an Acura TL (they were free) that are 5x114.3, but they won't clear the hubs. Bummer.

Total vision for it is a pro-touring style fun box with a Gen III Hemi swap and all the right parts to go and stop fast while being reliable and fun. It will be a LOOOONG project, one I will do with my son and nephews.
