I am changing out my dash assy in my 68 Valiant to a ralley dash, Can anyone tell me if there is a difference in a 67 frame vs the 68? I know the dash pad is slightly different but I'm not sure if the frames are the same. Help please!
Thanks Mike

the 68 will have both the top and bottom pad holes, as well as I believe the radio cut outs may be slightly different as the 67 had round knobs and 68 had thumb wheel

Difference in glove box doors too. 67 has a over center type spring on 1 of the 2 hinges that might function flawlessly until the end of days. 68 has single long hinge, tether or catch cord on the door, and a push button latch ( same as in console doors ) that does fail and doesn't come cheap.

I'm still learning every day. Thank you Red fish!

Might the nose of the metal frame also be perforated under the pad for the new for 68 energy and safety mandates! Aids in helping the dash "crush" instead of the occupants heads!! It's hidden under the upper dash pad!! Rani schooled me on that one!!!
