I'm located in Olympia, WA. Would like to deal with someone local. Willing to trade as well for J or X heads, small block 4 barrel manifold, carberator, '67,68,69 barracuda instrument cluster, 67,68,69 barracuda bucket seats, 8 3/4 A body rear end. $200 each. I would rather sell both for an even better price.

I am interested in one of them, how much? I am only 2 hours away. Do they have shift linkage? good condition or rebuilders?

Nothing except what you see. Just gear box and tail shaft. All related parts have found new homes through out the years. One of them is in perfect working order. The other I haven't personally tested which would be the rebuilder.

Gear ratios? There are at least 3 in the 1 x 23spline; plus overdrives
I imagine the long-tail (is one a long-tail) is 2.66low, but a
shorty could have as many as 3 different lows and two or three high gears.

Don't have a clue about ratios. Both short shafts. Can provide part numbers if helpful

Here's the thing;
The O/D trannys are not worth much, while
The 2.66 is the standard ratio, and is worth something, while
The 2.47 is rare and appeals to a very small market, while
The 3.09 is IMO hands down worth more than any of the rest, and if you had one, and if I needed one and lived in the USA,yours would have been sold by now.

From this side of the screen, they are both builders, cuz we can't see inside, and we can't smell the oil. I have sold rebuilt 2.66ers at over$1000Can, and I have bought O/D cores for $50US. I know you just want them to go to a good home.But 30 minutes work on your part can double or triple their value, and/or make a sale where currently none exists. Just drain the oil, determine the ratios, and post a few pics of the clutching teeth of second and third gears.I myself am not interested in those;I have spares of my own.I'm just trying to help you.
