Any Valve Cover Racers

Looks like a scaled-up Pinewood Derby - our Scout troop used to run a "Dirty Derby" with very few rules, but had to limit weight (someone brought a car made from a piece of railway rail - scary when it hit the stop box), require 3 wheels (someone entered a shot put), etc. The ever evolving track had various obstacles, jumps, etc. (and they finally added the flaming wall under the jump last year) and it was usually a matter of 'the car that makes it the farthest down the track wins', rather than who gets to the finish line first.

Found a couple of photos that show what the track looked like about 6 years ago, and some of the cars the Cub Scouts enteredDirty Derby.jpgDirty Derby cars.jpgDirty Derby carnage.jpg
