Is anyone else getting pissed off with these damn random ads popping up when you read a thread? I won't be using the forum much longer if this keeps up. Enough is enough. It already takes me 2 minutes to log in with all the ads popping up.

It's "your browser." I use Linux / Firefox / and Adblocker plus. I get none of that after it's set up.

Write "little bill" a real nice letter telling him how much you luuuuuv his real good operating shistem

Yea, it's not the site.
You need to download, update and use Malwarebytes Antimalware.

Go to Malwarebytes.com and download the free version.

Open browser.
Go to tools/ upper left hand side
Click Internet Options
Go to Privacy Tab
Click on Pop Up Blocker/ then settings, set to medium
Click OK
Reboot/close browser, reopen and try again.
Hope this works

My problem ( example in my avatar ) is my DSL lite bandwidth. If I go very slow from page to page and let every ad on each page load, no problems. If I click around here too fast the forum just stops responding for a while. Reapedly hitting F5 brings it back after some time.
I think Redd Foxx said it best, "Those of you in the back that cant hear... next time, pay more and get a better seat". Same as "Gold members see fewer ads".

It was happening to me all the time. I got an adblocker app and it cured the problem.

Get it on my iPhone only and just occasionally,

iPad and Win 10 PC are fine!

same here, seems way worse on the new site. been considering quiting it too.

It's pretty hard. Sometimes the ad will lock up the iphone or iPad. Close the page and often don't open it back up.

I say we all waste too much time ion the " puter. ", me included! either my country satelitte system or my puter seems to be slower this summer. I can not delete email on yahoomail, till all the adds pop us next to the darn thing. I a dmit to being totally puter stupid. ya say go here, do this, paste that, might as well be talking to my dog! ha

I've been using adblock for a while now. Works great here, there, everywhere :)

I call BS on "pop up blockers" for this site....at least, when using an Android phone. Have pop ups blocked in the settings. On all the bbq, bike and duramax forums I go to I get 0 ads...here....duck and cover...

The worst site for me is one I'm paying for........Slime Timer Worner's own email. Pisses me off. It was so slow it was a crime. I finally tried turning off the ad blocker just for that site, and it kinda / sorta speeded up response on that page, but then the computer (Firefox) became a memory hog. Everytime I check that email, I have to open a page, log in, and then close the window, otherwise it sits there and "hogs."

I couldn't agree more. AT&T is no different. We pay for that email service. Then they collect more coins every time we open it.

I get ads every once in a while on my android phone. Not enough to be a pita though. I have more menial things to get aggravated at.
