Stop in for a cup of coffee

Actually, if you find the right car to put together you may make more $$ overall. These old Mopars are selling like hotcakes in good running condition.
therein lies the rub - been looking (casually I admit) for the right car and still haven't found it - I did see a good candidate on Ebay a while ago, but it was too far away and they were asking something like $4000... which is 2x what I would be willing to spend on a gutted project car

Im thinking of a Demon.
If I'm ever in a position to add another Mopar to the stable it will probably be a '71 Demon in Citron yella with a 340 and black and white hounds tooth interior...

if I added another one ...I am targeting GEN 1 Barracudas now.

Like a 65 ....no 66 because those are ugly but a 64 or 5 ...that is sweet

you are very close, 52 kwh a day.
How much are you paying a kwh? Here it is around $0.18 (all in) so your generation capacity would be around $280/mo worth of power. Your $40k payback (after the tax credit) would be 12 years to break-even

If you pay $490/mo now, you're not getting a check at the end of the year unless your electric costs are nearly double ours.

I'm sure I'm missing something here...

Just keep looking. 800 bucks got me a solid 340 Dart Sport 'roller'. Good stuff is out there..

2k to 2.5k seems like a good range for a complete car that is something like a 69 dart or 71/2 Demon/Duster. But it would have to be complete for that and possibly running

dah - excuses are like... I always wonder when these kinds of things happen...
I trust this guy. He's done a bunch of engines for my friends and family. If he hadn't called and told me, then yeah maybe. He's got a very good reputation. He even offered a discount to make it right.

Sounds like my guy. He's good, always treats me fair and always makes it right...but never, ever, sticks to a timeline. It's just the way it is with these guys. You get used to it and let it pass when you know you are getting it done right.

This song always makes me think of the cars I've lost over the years.
I know that's not what it's about. Just the way my head works.

Makes sense to me because love songs remind me of cars too because i have never been in love with a person before. In fact i think "love" is just a marketing tactic of nature to get people to reproduce or else none of us would be here.

I take the movie Christine seriously, that car really loved him.

Cars are special. Why do people wish for old cars back yet hardly any other possession brings such emotion. That is why i never sell cars because later i will regret it. I dont understand flippers who put more importance in the dollar when no one has ever wanted a particular dollar bill back.

I have so many memories with a particular dollar bill that i had for years and we went through so much together, me and and that dollar bill.......said no one ever.

I dont know what it is about cars but cars are special unlike any other creation of man.

Good day all!

All well in SA....Can't wait for summer though.

Ters.
hey ya Ters - good to "see" you and good to hear all is well. Man, it's so hard to imagine that it is winter time anywhere - do you get snow or is it just a matter of it being colder?
