These are the caps I make in house for the early A-bodies . They are billet Aluminum with a steel crossbar (adjustable to four different locations), they use an O-ring for a Leak-proof seal and can be polished up or painted or just left as is . $45.00 shipped to all 50 States and $65.00 abroad . I have been selling these on Ebay and here for a few years (infact some of the Ebay pics are from Abodies customers) .
This cap will fit '60-'66 Valiant, '63-'66 Dart, '64-'66 Barracuda and '61-'62 Lancer.

I could put a small hole that acts like a vent if you wanted , but the tube has a vent in it (about four inches into the tube) , unless you are talking about a different set-up .
 
Hey i got my gas cap its excellent thanks! I bought one years a go for my 66 and now one for my 65. I think this should be a sticky on the early A forum because so many of us need one. Just a thought. great work thanks again.
 
All you need to do is add a tab on the inside of the cap that lines up with one of the screws that holds the fill tube to the body of the car.

Then you replace that screw with a longer one and insert it from the inside of the trunk so that the tab keeps the cap from rotating when the screw is tightened.

to unlock you open the trunk and loosen the screw. the cap should rotate freely

Hello, thanks for the kind words. The aluminum part is all one piece ( about one inch thick ), the crossbar is steel .
