Hey all I have a 360 with keith black pistons and a 292/508 cam. I recently bought a holley 750 DP carb to use and it is too big for my current single plane intake (current is 4.5 inches across, holley is 5.5 inches across, so I am going to replace my intake manifold since others have suggested replacing it anyways. Ideally I want something around $200-300 and something that gives me good low end as I am trying to build the engine to have quick acceleration. Someone in another thread suggested a RPM Air Gap, does anyone have suggestions on which intake I should get? Thanks.

What kind of intake do you have? Not many single planes out there that won't take a Holley. RPM Air Gap is a good intake. What torque converter do you have?

I have an M1 single plane on my 360, with a Holley 750 DP..........no problems

As stated, Air-gap is good intake.

Good luck!

How far across is your carb? My carb is 5.5 across and the top of my intake where the carb connects is only 4.5 across.

Manual so no torque converter, it's an M1 single plane. It's an inch to short across.

You are doing something WRONG!! PHOTOS!!! PHOTOS!!!! PHOTOS!!!

Post a photo of the bottom of the carb, the top of the manifold, and the carb gasket beside /on top of the manifold

Post the Holley PART NUMBER. Is this a spread bore?

Does the manifold have two sets of bolt holes? See below

Are you trying to mount the Holley sideways? That would explain it.

So apparently my intake does have two sets of holes, just the holes I needed were covered up by pieces of the old gasket and dirt/grease, So I put the screws in the correct holes and imagine that it now fits. Thanks a lot.

I knew for a fact if you looked into it you would have it :)
