Looks plenty big for working on your car(s)

Congrats on getting your permit & breaking ground!!

That's awesome. I'm looking to move to a place where I can do this.

18x28, 10 feet high. That's the max code will allow me

HOA or County/City code?
That's why I live in county only, and POA doesn't restrict bldg size.

An evap/swamp cooler on wheels is quite helpful here in the AZ desert for keeping you cool in the garage!! You can buy 1 at the end of the season on clearance for a reasonable price....or find 1 used on craigslist.

Won't swamp coolers rust your tools and parts?

The overall humidity is so low in AZ you could add 30% and have no issues. Here in Iowa where the humidity gets up around 80+% like it is today, all a swamp cooler does is add more moisture. We need refrigerated hvac systems to remove the moisture.

By the way D440, I am green with envy! Keep those build photos coming.

Well here's progress. They started today. With the heat they only work until one. They have a large crew. Half the crew stays in the shade and stays hydrated while the others work. They are switching out the crew every 20 minutes. They are actually getting a lot done. Should be up by Wednesday.

Well the frame is finished however I just found out the insulation was not ordered so I'll have to wait until next week. No hurry, have to finish the front concrete before I can start occupying. Of course some stuff can go in through the man door.

I have a lot of big panel glass to heat and light it up ,keep me in mind , that was ready to be my dream shop before I screwed up my back , LOOKS AWSOME HAGR812 / winstoninwisc

Fortunately don't need heat. When everything is finished I'll evaluate the need to have natural light. I can always add Windows later

Progress, got the east, west and south wall up. That includes insulation

Crew came in early this AM, about 5:30. Got the north wall up along with the insulation. Roof will be tomorrow. Rollup Thursday

Looks like the garage door will be on the North side....NICE!! Lots of light, but no direct sun. Will you be finishing the inside w/ plywood, drywall, or?

Done. Now get the inspection and once that's done I can finish concrete on the front.
