Thanks! Yes you need hood pins because the latch mechanism comes out. I also made a filler piece so you're not looking down at the radiator, it's all painted black now. It was a lot of work but I don't worry about clearance or engine temp any longer. The Griffin is about 3 1/4" thick if I remember correctly.
