Powersteering Pump

-
I have a manual Flaming River rack, and a new Jeep SRT8 pump for sale. Shoot me a PM if interested.

I decided to go ahead with the PS upgrade to my dart. I purchased a AGR power rack from Bill at RMS, and I just received a Jeep SRT8 pump.

I did a Hemi swap on a 1997 Dakota, with a Charger LX 5.7 Hemi and I used the remote mount reservoir, I would really like to use the SRT8 reservoir. Do I need an SRT8 pump to make it work or will the reservoir simply mount to my Charger 5.7 pump with the bracket?

Don't know.

You'll need a whole 6.1L pump with resivior attached or a 5.7L pump with the resivior attached.

The srt8 jeep pump has 2 extra 'ear' mounts on the back case for mounting the reservoir. You cannot mount the reservoir on a remote reservoir pump housing.

How did everything end up on the power steer pumps?
Im trying to run a ram pump into a rack and pinion and theres too much pressure and flow.
Seeing the sedan is rack and pinion i though that may be more suited than the ram one that runs a steering box.
Any ideas?
Ben

You have to use a low pressure pump (Ford) all the Chrysler ones have too much pressure.

You can also use a chevy type 2 pump.

Hey mate, hows that PS pump working out? Any chance you could note the details of the pump you ended up using, and are you still going to sell the adapter plate you engineered? Thanks for posting, I've been trying to figure this out for a while until i stumbled across this post :)
