If you have a smart phone or any type of player like an IPod or MP3. All you need is an amplifier under your seat and some speakers. You use an audio jack from your phone or devices headphone jack into red and white RCA's plugged into the input side of an amplifier. Make sure to connect the blue remote wire from the amplifier to either a keyed on/off fuse or on a switch to turn the amplifier on and off.
With this setup you can play anything your device can play. I use the Tunein radio app to play radio stations and I always have playlists and albums of music saved to my phones drive as well so I don't always use data.

Ha, I was going to mention that possibility.
I have a Kindle Fire touch screen in my car, so I can even sit in the house and transfer music to it wireless.
Radio stations are everywhere online and I can use my phone as a hotspot if I really wanted to listen to internet radio, but I never do hardly since the Kindle has 8 gigs of memory for that.
Mostly just the music loaded to the Kindle is what I listen to.
I also added a 12 to 5v regulator system to charge it as the car runs, but it can also play for hours on it's internal battery and not use the car battery at all when the car is not running.

I have an extra kindle and would be interested in seeing your setup if you have any advise..

$20 Kinter unit for a motorcycle takes SD or flash drive and has a tuner. I soldered a standard antenna socket into mine and ran an antenna in the A pillar moulding.

I have seen a few different remote mount amplifiers that are either 2 or 4 channel, and allows you to plug in your phone or mp3 player. I plan on going this route and leaving my fender uncut. No antenna hole, and my radio delete intact. The one i am liking is $100, 4 channel, and about the size of 2 cigarette packs. I want to mount this either in the dash behind the delete plate, or under my seat. Will be running buckets, and I dont have a console. I plan on running a hookup wire that will lay along the drivers seat that i can plug into my phone. I plan on sticking velcro to the phone case and sticking it down to the trans tunnel. I have pandora 1, and music i loaded into my phone. I am sure i will have plenty to listen to.

Just so you know I do have an in dash tuner also, but the kindle plugs into it in an acc port and uses it for the amp.
There isn't much to see really but the kindle mounted between the visors and in front of the mirror on a flip down bracket.
Then the data cable and charge cable run under the windshield rubber from there all the way down to the dash and then over to the stereo behind the dash.
The charger is a 5 volt 1 amp voltage regulator I made for the gauges before they got switched out and I just made the cable from one of the original mini USB cables so it plugs into the Kindle normally.

Here's a picture I was messing with when the idea was coming together and before my carbon fiber was done on the dash, but it gives you a good feel for how it all came out.
