Can this be fixed ?

That torn up section is a non moving part of the pump housing and it got tore up from a trashed and froze up converter.
Can't remember the exact name of the tube itself but it is part of the pump (stator support maybe?)
Anyway a pump and converter would fix that, but the catch would be where the metal that came off went.
We pretty much know for sure it went other places including the cooler lines, so a complete teardown and inspection would be in order.

That said, excluding the blackened shafts I have seen that shaft look a lot like that normally just from quick machining.
I was afraid that would be the case. I hear they are easy to rebuild so maybe it's time to learn how. But in any event I will need another pump so maybe I'll just look for another trans and rebuild it and keep this one for parts.
