It's not an A-body but I am super-excited to add this baby to my little stable. Came across it on the local Craigslist as a brand new ad and picked it up on Friday. Drove it to a little car show cruise-in Friday night and Saturday night to another car show and can't believe all the attention it got!

Anyways, it's a cool little Shorty with 4 on the floor, Limited slip and most all the original equipment in tact. Ordered a couple of patch panels today and a few other goodies to get the ball rolling asap.
This one is getting some shag carpet for sure and I have a line on a fresh 360 to drop in it, possibly, though the original 318 runs great, aside from a puff of smoke when ya first start it up. I put a bunch of elbow grease and about 100 miles on it over the weekend with no problems.

Hope it's cool to post it up here!

I like it!!! Post up.... a lot more than just A bodies get posted here, including my newly acquired '77 Ramcharger.

Now you need to paint fReE cAnDy on the side and park it down by the river.

Very cool. There was one that came to a cruise here last month hat looked like it had just been un-mothballed from the 70"s. It was really cool to see and attracts a lot of attention

I can see it attracting a lot of attention. As common as they may have been 'back in the day' there doesn't seem to be many around anymore. Nice job on cleaning up those wheels! K&B would be jealous.

The guy i bought it from said he got it from his dad a year ago and it had been in storage for 16 years prior to that. I think that's the last time they changed the oil too! Man, was it ever BLACK. Gonna change it again in a few days.

Hey cool van!! I just picked one up from a friend of the family. We went to high school in this van. It was his fathers and it was fully loaded back in 78 with shag carpeting and bed. It has 32,000 original miles on it. In his older years he stripped it out to go flea marketing, threw in all his junk and went to flea markets. Its original paint, with a diamond shape windows. Started playing with it, put my super bee wheels and rims on it to see what it would look like...and it looked pretty damn good! Already ordered a flare kit for it, and chrome side pipes. Still deciding on what to do with the interior though.

What is "WX1 Spare tire like front" mean? Don't let you kid borrow it for prom night....or..? Friend had a Ford 302/3 on the tree Econoline shorty in high school. Just about the same scene....

That thing rocks!

That's really cool. You're going to have a lot of fun with it (sounds like you already started!!).

I think it would be great to own another one. I had a TON of fun in mine. We used to go to van-in's along the east coast. Here's a picture of my '75 from 1981.

I remember seeing them used as tow vehicles at Thunder Valley years ago.
