Pinion angle 904 vs 727

Trying to determine if the engine/transmission centerline angle of a small block would be the same with a 904 and 727.

Going to be a while until I get the new engine/transmission in and wondering if I can setup the pinion angle for the rear axle using the current small block and 904?

Didn't know if the transmission cross member mount flanges were the same height between the two transmissions.

Edit: mounting flanges are the same from bell housing to mount and from mount base to centerline of the shaft.
