11.63 113.28 H/SA 3640 pounds and a 340 bub Whitaker built

Man, I haven't heard his name in 30+yrs. When I was young back in Maryland, his M/P mid 60's small block Chevy II was the nastiest, most free revving engine I'd ever heard. I'm Pretty sure I saw him run a B/SR back then also. Absolutely awesome...:thumleft:

11.53 at 118.5 mph. Low block 500 stroker torque monster with 3.55 gears and running through closed exhaust. That's as fast as I can go without adding a roll bar, so just some fine tuning now.

My 383 / 727 / 8.25 (4.10's) Duster went 13.10 @ 106mph with 1.97 60ft times on 275/60/15 ET Radials in street trim thru full exhaust. Gotta sort out the rear and get those 60ft times down before I put a 100 shot of gas thru it..

Well don't laugh. She's a work in progress. Woke up after sitting around doing nothing and no love or maintenance for 15 years. Below is all on the same run. After this run it vapor locked the next 2 runs so I went home. These are the best times this Scamp has ever seen. Trying to achieve a 13.999 on 24" tires, the original 14" wheels.

TALK ABOUT FREE REVING. I GOT A BUDDIE THAT USED TO RACE S/STOCK / NHRA , HE WOULD SIDE STEP THE CLUTCH AT 8600-9600
IN A SBC, I WOULD GRIMMACE EVERY TIME HE PULLED UP TO THE LINE !! Guess he knew what he was doing, he held his record 18 times over the years !
