Another Mopar Off My Bucket List - Barracuda Fastback

That one turned me off too but I think that falls in a category of its own. It's a style, sort of. The red Camaro is a very nice restored car with the wrong wheels.

But I guess you're right, it's probably a cultural thing. You probably get to like low riders if you see them all the time and if the hood is full of ridiculously large rims, it starts to look good.

To each his own.

And good morning! :)

Good Morning to you too Anders. I've speculated that the move towards large diameter wheels may have been due to the influence of some of the small scale die cast toy cars that started showing up decades ago. I do think you're right about it being a cultural thing but I have a hard time getting myself to believe those donks look good to anyone. I've become a fuddy-duddy I guess. I don't get the pants hanging down halfway either. I'm sure people that wear those like that style too.

I really, really have tried to get myself to appreciate all the various car cultures. It's been a struggle. I can understand the people that get into the Rat Rods. They can circumvent the expensive paint and interiors and not have to worry about road rash. - Heck, they don't even have to worry about rust. Some of their builds use a lot of imagination and are probably fun to do.

I do like some of the elaborate paint schemes on lowriders.
