So for a long time I had this viscous fan on my Barracuda. I thought it was a Chrysler part. Awhile back I switched over to electric fans and put the fan on the shelf. I've been trying to clear out some parts lately and I was going to list the fan for sale on here. I Googled the part number, turns out it wasn't a Chrysler fan at all. It's a 7 bladed fan specific for 69 Camaro Z28's and is worth a pretty penny to the right Camaro guy. So I put it up on eBay. A little bit of buried treasure in the garage. Just thought it was funny that all this time I thought it was a Chrysler fan. Doh.

I had something like that happen to me. It seems Camaro people are some bad number cruncher's. I had a customer give me a GM small block intake he didn't want and said he wouldn't use because it was a stock intake with a GM parts number and firing order cast in it. I ran the number and found out it was a 69 GM performance intake that was sold over the counter in 69-70 only very rare and hard to find. I Craigslisted it and sold it in an hour for just mad stupid money and could have sold 10 more if I had them. So I always check things out before just junking something because I'm not sure what it fits or what it from. The real leason is GM buyers money spends on Mopar real nice and you have nothing to loose

That is a fact. I will be using any proceeds to purchase parts for my '68.

This is what it looks like.

I don't think they were sharpened per se. The back of the fan has most of the black paint gone.
