hi has anyone here ever had any problems with the B&M flexplate? Vibration issues or anything? I swapped the 318 out for a 360 using the B&M flexplate. When id the car in gear it would vibrate bad while hole the brakes with car on jack stands but when I let of the brakes and gave it gas it wouldn't vibrate. Anyways I ended up pulling the 360 back out for a rebuild and I'm getting ready to put it back in but I want to try and figure out the vibration problem so I don't have to pull it all back out again. Also is there anyone that makes a 360/904 torque converter?

Did you build the 360? Did it get internally balanced? Was the 318 stock? We need more information.

The 318 was bone stock. Had a cracked head so I decided to swap it out and put in a 360. I picked up a 360 from a guy out of a motor home. Put it in and couldn't get it to run right for the life of me. Ended up having low compression in all cylinders . Lowest being 40 and highest being 100. So I pulled it out and getting a stock rebuild. So the 360 is bone stock still just with a fresh rebuild

Ok I thought the 318 904 TQ was neutrally balanced do to the 318 being internally balanced.

Yes, your 318 should have a neutral balanced converter (no weights).
Crazier stuff has happened. Just make sure the balancer has no weights, and use the B&M flexplate.
Check that your harmonic balancer is in good condition.

Are you using the balancer from the 360?,,,,,,as it is part of the external balance of a 360.

Yes the 360 has the right balancer. I haven't put the rebuilt engine in yet. I guess I'll just put all back in and see what happens.

Thai is the same plate I have. I am thinking that the imbalance may have been due to the difference in the cylinder to cylinder pressures? After rebuilding the motor I believe the vibration will be gone. Put it together and let us know what happens. Good luck
