Here she is, bought as a roller and put my 69 340 motor and tranny in. I sold the Dana b-body diff that was under it, had shackles and air shocks maxed out and the low profile Mickeys stuck out a mile. Put my rebuilt 8 3/4 in it and brought it back down to earth. It came with these zoomies (remember these?, back in the day), so I stuck them on just to see, I know they are hanging a bit low and I'm sure I can snug them up closer to the body. I've had several comments about them, they sound real nice with the bottle mufflers. People either love them or hate them, so I'm taking a poll at which time I will get them re-chromed and tweak em up hugging the body... or sell them on ebay for 1 million dollars, lol
:drama:

- Nice old Dart. I haven't seen a car running those zoomies in years. I think I'd have to figure out a way to move them forward if I was going to use them. They could be a nice addition to a nostalgic drag theme.

Are they actually attached to the car, or just laying under it? :D

Cool as hell car.

Ya, it's kinda funny when the younger crowd sees these cause they never seen such things before, kinda alien. I can move them forward if I eliminated the muffler, hmmm, now I got to try that, Johnny Law might say something...but I've been there before...

When Chrysler put exhaust on the AAR Cudas and TA Challengers they ran through mufflers and then went back forward in order to make their side dump exhaust. Maybe you could do something similar OR put some exhaust cut offs on there and switch between open exhaust out the zoomies & muffled.

Cool car. Nice.
I am currently working on same dart/vert manual.
Soon to be on floor. Working on frame rail, lot of work but un-molested.

D.

Hey, I like that second idea...I think I've seen mufflers with the exhaust on the same end as the input, that could work also.

those TA mufflers mentioned, are available repoped. lets face it, Mopar guys like to be a little different!! cool! I say keep them!

I'll have you know I'm perfectly normal, bwahhaha! I think they'll look a lot better with newer chrome shine and will match the rest of the chrome nicely, can there ever be too much chrome?
