Hey everyone, I have 67 Barracuda and my bucket seats are shot, I know I can order seat foam covers and all that, But I was also thinking, " if I'm gonna do all that why not just but some more modern seats like out of a Avenger or 300 or even a truck, Upgrading I guess you could say. Has anyone done this to their A body? I figured I would ask, any help would be great Thanks.

I just bought a 2003 300m and love the front buckets. I have thought about finding one that's been totalled recently and using a set of front buckets out of it. They're very comfortable, seem very close to the width of an a body bucket. The only hang up I've had about them is if you plan on having any back seat passengers (I've got kids) the issue that would arise is you can't just yank on them and fold the seatback down to climb into the back like you can an older bucket. They're motorized. They have lumbar support, heated, and like 8 way adjustable power. Other than the seatback not folding, I'd like to figure out a way to make it happen in my '67....

Real Recaro's out of a BMW 325i, and reupholstered two tone to order at no extra charge.
I also have an extra set that need recovered, and they have heaters in the pads.
The upholstery kit costs about $350 from a company on Ebay that did mine.

It was an Ebay seller, and they delivered the seats I have complete like in this auction.
They also sell just the recover kits.

I had the black covered ones in my car when the new recovered ones showed up already done.
They were a gift from my Bro in law, and this is why I have the extra set.

Sebring vert seats I got for $150. Drivers side is electric, I re-enforced the floor since the shoulder belts are integrated into the seats. I'm hoping to get it all reupholstered this winter. -pauly

After I read your post I started looking for these seats on Ebay and I ran across these guys. I have emailed them about a set. My interior is gonna be mopar deep water blue and light metalic blue. I have to ask, how is the ride with these seats? pretty comfertable?

Ditto above, same black vert ones for $150/pr at Sacramento Swap meet last June from a trailer w/ sign "Get Yer Seats". They pull them at PickNPull. I built custom rails w/ metal from Ace. Installed temporary until I do the carpet.
For my Valiant I will use the $50/pr Cobra vert seats I got off craigslist years ago. Don't have an integral belt but do have the belt loop at top so can ground them at the bottom rear.
Considered re-upholstering the factory seats, but $700 for a kit w/ new foam and wouldn't be as save without a shoulder belt and head restraint.

Within the last 90 days I saw some newer seats and I think they were put into a Barracuda. The seats had an integral headrest and the shoulder belt was built in -- pretty cool. I don't remember what car the new seats came out of. Search the site; you need to see these. I'm sorry if somebody already referenced these seats in this thread.

Seats out of a 94-01 ram also have the belts integrated in the seat. Considering putting some in my Duster some day
Between my wife and I we've had 5 mustangs ranging in years from 98-04, I personally found the seats to be uncomfortable after 40-50 minutes of driving, especially the leather seats!! I myself wouldn't put mid to late 90s mustang seats in my Duster unless they were repadded and reupholstered

X2 I just pulled some mustang seats out of my dart . They were a literal pain in the butt I put some sparco chrono 500s in I had in the garage and couldn't be happier.
I have 2014 Dart seats mocked into my 69, had to mod the rails. not too worried about rear passengers.
I will post a few pics this weekend. Having my original rear upper and lower covered to match. All cloth, did not want to burn my buns on leather.

How did you mount this seat? I measured a set of 2016 Charger seats this weekend and the rails were too wide to fit on the passenger side, but could work on the driver's side. The passenger side is about 16" between the trans tunnel and the "hump" where the bench seat mounts. The seat rails on the Charger were 19".
