I'm about ready to start up my Duster for the first time but am having trouble finding a radiator that fits with a mechanical fan w/fan clutch. I've tried the jaguar setup with a mechanical fan w/ a 3 core brass radiator (2.5inches wide) and it does not clear. An aluminum Griffin #800038 is too wide as well. I can run a flex fan but really don't want to. What radiator are ppl running in their big block a bodies with a mechanical fan w/ fan clutch?

I'll take pictures tonight but I'll probably be using a direct drive (no clutch) fan

I've had the same issues with a 440 in a 72 dart. 3 row champion radiator. I have an AC compressor that extends as far forward as water pump pulley face which causes additional issues I've moved my radiator forward 1/2 inch by relocating mounting tabs on radiator. Running a 18" fixed blade fan from derale with a 1" spacer. Clears my compressor by 1/8" and radiator by 3/8 inch. "Should" be enough. Custom shroud I'm still working on.

Here's a couple of pictures I'm still in the mock up stage using a Be Cool cross flow as big as I could get between the frame rails made a lower mount and the shroud is two piece that splits in the middle so I can get it in right now I have the Hayden clutch on it but it's way to close to the radiator wouldn't be able to change the belt if needed so will probably go mechanical fan with spacer

That is a serious looking shroud guy!
Looks bigger than it really is -- cross flows are not finished on the top or bottom so had to come up with some way to cover it and hold it towards the radiator support -- this is the best I could figure out -- split it in the middle like the early B's did from the factory

I'm running a 3 core Champion 26" radiator with a stock 26" shroud and fan clutch, it's tight, but it fits.
