That is very interesting ! I have a friend w/ a 68 dart 440 running in the 10.70 area. He is running a 8 3/4 rear. Everyone is telling him that 8 3/4 will never hold up.
I had a 64 B-Body NSSA car that ran 10.0s with a 500 inch Max Wedge. I folded up an un-braced 8 .75 like a cheap set of monkey bars. I went Dana 60 and never had a problem after that. IMHO 8.75s are for street cars.
