K member swap

here is what I want to do. car is 67 Bel 1, it was one owner well kept up old car. the front suspension has obvious pretty new parts. it was a slant and I have a 67 big block k member to go in. I will retain the stock T bars for now. what I want to do is: drop t bars, steering box and idler, remove nuts for the struts, take loose the nut retaining the lower control arms, AND unbolt the K and slid it forward and OUT. if I replace the lower arm bushing with poly, can't it just go back in no problem? works right!?????
