Dominator EFI ECU and distributor

The goal is tuned port injection. Not that I have not ruled out boost in the form of turbos, that is just a bit ambitious at this stage. In that past, I did a slant with an Offenhauser intake, Dutra Duals, a Holley 390 and a Pertronix ignition. I tried that combo with two different cam shafts and both worked well. The first cam was stock and the performance upgrade really surprised me. I had been totally scared by people telling me that it was too much carb, but, I thought it was perfect. There was never any bogging off the line. However, with the more performance cam, there was a lot more top end.
So, I am planning my second slant build and Johnny, any input is more than appreciated.
Just to clarify, is this the Fitech that you refer to, FiTech Fuel Injection
Would that supply the throttle body?
I would then get some fuel rail and drill the Offenhauser intake accept the injectors. Like they do at Rance Injection, MANIFOLD CONVERSION TYPES.
As for the ignition, would the Fitech include all the electronics for the fuel system to talk to the distributor? Would the CDI box be just a "dumb" box that allows for the Fitech to attach to the distributor, or, would it be like the MSD system that actually is the ECM? Could I use an old point distributor converted with a Pertronics ECM?

Thanks for all your help
