Anyone make their own windshield washer fluid?

-
I buy the blue jugs of stuff at the gas station for $1.99

Out of curiosity why make your own?

I just use distilled water. Any of the other kinds become a thick sludge and clog the nozzles here in Arizona. It doesn't get cold enough to need anything to keep it from freezing.

Oh really? :D
How about 6 degrees?

Probably wouldn't work so well in that case. Due to the heat here, I can't use regular washer fluid because it turns to sludge and clogs the nozzles and tubes. That's not a problem in most places.

It does that here in the summer also and mine are plugged up with that crap right now and I just have not done anything with it yet, but it gets cold here in the winter as well so I have to use that garbage in the winter so it doesn't freeze.
Plain water with vinegar in the summer.

Hey, maybe that can be a today project. :D

Today is probably quite hot, no?

Here they changed their mind from low 80's to high 80's.
Phoenix is about 15 degrees hotter on the average, so yea a little warm down there today.
Nice at night though, and about perfect for a windows down nightime cruise.

I have to get down there sometime before too long anyway to pick up a window from a friend that very graciously offered.

What part of AZ are you in? I'm guessing it must be up north. It never gets cold down here in Yuma. Maybe a couple nights that it drops to 30's or 40's.

I was wondering where you are, and why it say's Mexifornia on your info. (I think I can guess why that is now)
Prescott Valley here, just about 8 miles outside of Prescott.
It doesn't usually get down as low as 6 but has and probably will at some point (global warming an all):D

Yuma?, ugh.
I was over by the river near Laughlin Nevada a few weeks ago and thought "Why the hell would anyone want to live here?" and the obvious answer seemed to be the river.
Rivers are nice, but not that nice.:D

Greg, You live in Prescott Valley!!!! My Mother & Father in law just spent three weeks out there. They were at a friends house. They are talking about moving out there. Small world. They said it was beautiful.

It's ok but I think that opinion has a lot to do with where people came from.
Having national forest and small public lakes close is pretty nice if you are into that kind of stuff, but the lakes are not big enough to do anything like I'm used to doing at lakes.

Not here by choice, got stationed here. When I put Mexifornia, I think I was living in Chula Vista, CA, which is right on the border down in San Diego. I just never updated it.
