Seriously, some people who have problems with those threads like being destroyed or whatever press them into place and tack weld them in there.
It's a semi accepted way of solving destroyed threads issue's to keep from having to replace the A arm.
Otherwise patience, a little grease on the threads and the correct socket helps since it's hard to get them started into the threads straight any other way.
 
Put the ball joint in a vise. Once you think the threads are started you can use a bar and tighten. If in doubt 2 tacks welds works fine.
